The Eagles Tour DatesThe Eagles will take their Long Road out of Eden Tour into a third year on the road thanks to a fresh round North American dates. The long-running trek kicked off in spring 2008 and continues through the spring with at least another 17 concerts on the books.

The band's first outing of 2010 picks up with three special performances at the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, CA. Announced in early December last year, those scheduled April 16, 17 and 20 concerts mark the Eagles' first-ever performances at the historic amphitheater.

Since the end of 2009, the Eagles have scattered more dates along the "Long Road" calendar, which now stretches through a May 23 event at Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, CA.

The itinerary includes two-night stands on April 30 and May 1 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA, and May 9-10 at General Motors Place in Vancouver, BC. At this point, Vancouver is the only Canadian city on the Eagles' 13-market spring roster.

The Eagles ConcertsTickets are already available for all but three dates on the calendar from April through mid-May, including VIP ticketing options. While these VIP options have sold out for all three Hollywood Bowl shows, regular tickets to those events are still available according to Ticketmaster.

The Eagles Tour News

The Eagles Tour North America :
Southern California rock group, The Eagles, are touring North America in promotion of their 2007 album, Long Road Out of Eden. This is the seventh studio release from the band, and first original effort released in twenty-eight years. It debuted at number one on the billboard chart, and received two Grammys in 2009.

The Eagles were formed in the seventies with a sound that incorporated country instrumentation with the harmonies of California surfer rock. They have become music industry icons with decades of hits. Songs like “Desperado,” “Hotel California,” and “Tequila Sunrise” propelled the band into fame, and made them one of the most commercially successful groups in the U.S. The Eagle’s 1976 release, Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975, even outsold Michael Jackson’s Thriller, and is still the most sold album ever in the U.S.

The Eagles kick off their tour April 16th, at the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angles, CA. The band will make two stops in Vancouver, and wrap the tour at Cricket Wireless Amphitheater in Chula Vista, CA.

Eagles’ Tour with Fleetwood Mac ‘Not Happening,’ Spring Concerts Instead :
It appears that Eagles and Fleetwood Mac will not tour in the summer of 2010. Rumors circulated last December that the two super groups would team for a stadium tour of North America. But in a recent interview with Eagles Online Central, Timothy B. Schmit squashed those rumors.

The Eagles Merchandise“Well, erm, I just emailed our manager this morning and asked him that question – what we were doing during this summer and I didn’t specifically ask him that but he did, he told me about that and it appears that that is not happening,” Schmit told EOC’s Simon Mayo. “So all these big rumors are just simply rumors. I think that it was being pursued for a while, that was the reality, but I don’t think it’s gonna happen.”

While dreams of seeing Eagles and Fleetwood Mac in some hot and uncomfortable arena this summer are crushed, fans of the former (who live in the western United States) still have the spring to look forward too.

Starting April 16 with three Eagles shows in Los Angeles, America’s top rock band and 1998 inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, will embark on a mini-tour of the west coast of North America. It’s just six cities and nine nine dates.

After L.A., the Eagles visit Phoenix (April 21), Anaheim (April 25), Sacramento (April 27), and San Jose (April 30). They wrap up their month-long jaunt with a pair of shows in Vancouver B.C. on May 9-10.

The band is selling Eagles tickets to support their 2007 release, Long Road Out of Eden. The album, released in October, sold quite well. In fact, it was the top selling album (by a group) of 2007.
The Eagles’ spring sojourn begins with a three night stand at the Hollywood Bowl (April 16, 17, and 20). The band has never played at that historic venue and they haven’t rocked La La Land since 2005.

For those that have lost track of the band, or are suffering from the effects of their golden years, the current lineup of the Eagles is Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Schmit.

In the aforementioned interview, Schmit went on to say that the band will take a break after the upcoming road trip and that break will last until mid-summer or so. He hinted to another tour, possibly in the late summer, and possibly with another band.

The Eagles Biography (Brief) and Band Information :
FORMED: 1971, Los Angeles, CA
DISBANDED: 1982

In 1971 in California, Don Henley and Glenn Frey meet as members of Linda Ronstadt's band. They realize they have a mutual goal - the formation of their own band - which is realized when teamed with Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner by Ronstadt's manager, John Boylan, as a projected backup band. Instead, the Eagles are formed.

The Eagles - Hole In The WorldSigned by Asylum Records, the Eagles travel to London to record with producer Glyn Johns. Their debut album is released in 1972 titled Eagles. The first single "Take It Easy" earned them instant national recognition. Another single, "Witchy Woman" hits #9 on the charts and the Eagles tour through the end of the year.

Their follow -up album is also recorded in London; however, halfway through recording the Eagles want a more rock-oriented sound and move recordings to California with producer Bill Szymczyk. The album Desperado is released in 1973 and evolves into what becomes the group's hallmark of storyteller writing.

While recording their next album, Don Felder is called in for guitar work. When the album is released Felder is made a member of the band. On The Border is released in 1974. The single "Best of My Love" hits #1 on the adult contemporary charts, placing them as a favorite among listeners. This also gives the Eagles' their first gold single record as well as multiple Grammy nominations.

In 1975, the Eagles are ready to release their fourth album One of These Nights. The title track "One of These Nights," a rhythm and blues song, is released early and the album is gold certified within a week of its release. By years end, Bernie Leadon departs from the band and is replaced by Joe Walsh.

By 1976, the band's success is still growing. Asylum releases Eagles: Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 and sells over a million copies upon its release, earning the first RIAA platinum award given in that category. This album is also the third in history to sell at the million-unit mark upon release. This same year, the band is awarded its first Grammy for the single "Lyin Eyes."

At years end, the new incarnation of the group releases their next album Hotel California, receiving outstanding commercial and critical success and reaching #1 on the Billboard Charts and goes gold. At that point, Hotel California sells nine million units, which surpasses the seven million units of Eagles: Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975. The following year is spent touring the US, Canada, England, Scotland, Europe, and Scandinavia. In August, Randy Meisner leaves the band and is replaced by Timothy B. Schmit.

The Eagles Live Concerts1978 proves to be a successful year for the band. The Eagles receive two Grammy awards: Best Vocal Arrangement for "New Kid In Town" and Record of the Year for Hotel California. The band spends that year recording The Long Run. During recording breaks for this album, the Eagles release "Please Come Home for Christmas" and "Funky New Year." The single became the first Christmas record to break into the top 20 on national music charts in over 20 years.

The band was falling apart; however, they fulfilled promises of a long awaited Japanese tour with a stop in Hawaii. The Long Run is released and reaches #1 on the Billboard Charts. The Eagles do an extensive tour of the United States. No official announcements are made about the band until after the release of the 1981 album Eagles Live. This album reaches #6 on the charts. Even with all the success, the Eagles decide to go their own directions and declare that they would not get back together until hell froze over.

After a 14-year "vacation" the Eagles returned for an MTV special. This live recording became the bands' 1994 release quintessentially titled Hell Freezes Over, which reaches #1 on the Billboard Charts. During the next two years, the band tours, breaking all kinds of sales and attendance records proving to be the most successful tours in music history. Hell Freezes Over went on to sell over 15 million copies. In 1998, the Eagles were inducted into the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame.

1999, the new millennium was arriving and the Eagles decided to play a New Year's Eve show opening the new Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Later that year a four CD box set Eagles Selected Works 1972-1999 is released which includes highlights from that New Year's Eve show as well as hit songs throughout the bands' career.

The band now consisting of Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit, toured Europe in the summer of 2001. The Eagles, in their third decade of entertaining fans around the world have amazing longevity that has lasted the test of time. They are currently in the studio recording their next album.    ... More about The Eagles the band :
Formed in Los Angeles in 1971, this highly successful unit was formed by musicians drawn from singer Linda Ronstadt 's backing group. Of the quartet, Bernie Leadon (born July 19, 1947, Minneapolis, Minn; guitar, vocals) boasted the most prodigious pedigree, having embraced traditional country music with the Scottsville Squirrel Barkers, before gaining significant rock experience as a member of Hearts and Flowers, Dillard and Clark and the Flying Burrito Brothers. Randy Meisner (born March 8, 1947, Scottsbluff, Neb.; bass, vocals) was formerly of Poco and Rick Nelson's Stone Canyon Band; Glenn Frey (born Nov. 6, 1948, Detroit, Mich.; guitar, vocals) had recorded as half of Longbranch Pennywhistle. Don Henley (born July 22, 1947, Gilmer, Texas; drums, vocals) had led Texas-based Shiloh, a band that included future Warner Bros. Nashville president Jim Ed Norman on keyboards and Richard Bowden (later of the musical comedy duo Pinkard & Bowden) on guitar. Such pedigrees ensured interest in the new venture, which was immediately signed to David Geffen's nascent Asylum Records label.

The Eagles Hotel CaliforniaThe Eagles, recorded in London with producer Glyn Johns, contained "Take It Easy," co-written by Frey and Jackson Browne, and "Witchy Woman." Both reached the Top 20 and established the quartet's meticulous harmonies and relaxed, but purposeful, country-rock sound. Critical reaction to Desperado, an ambitious concept album based on a Western theme, firmly established the band as leaders in their field and contained several of their most enduring compositions, including the pleadingly emotional title track. The follow-up, On the Border, reasserted the unit's commerciality. "Best of My Love" became their first No. 1 single while new member Don Felder (born Sept. 21, 1947, Topanga, Calif.; guitar, vocals), drafted from David Blue's backing group in March 1974, considerably bolstered the Eagles' sound. The reshaped quintet attained superstar status with the album One of These Nights, and the title track also topped the charts. This platinum-selling album included "Lyin' Eyes" and the anthemic "Take It to the Limit." The album also established the Eagles as an international act; each of these tracks had reached the UK Top 30, but the newfound pressure proved too great for Leadon who left the lineup in December 1975. He subsequently pursued a low-key career with the Leadon-Georgiades band.

Leadon's replacement was Joe Walsh (born Nov. 20, 1947, Wichita, Kan.), former lead guitarist with the James Gang and a successful solo artist in his own right. His somewhat surprising induction was tempered by the knowledge that he shared the same manager as his new colleagues. The choice was ratified by the powerful Hotel California which topped the album charts for eight weeks and spawned two No.1 singles in the title track and "New Kid in Town." A seasonal recording, "Please Come Home for Christmas," was the quintet's sole recorded offering for 1978 and internal ructions the following year resulted in Meisner's departure. His replacement, Timothy B. Schmit (born Oct. 30, 1947, Sacramento, Calif.), was another former member of Poco, but by this point, the Eagles' impetus was waning. The Long Run was generally regarded as disappointing, despite containing a fifth No. 1 in "Heartache Tonight," and a temporary hiatus taken at the end of the decade became a fully fledged break in 1982 when long-standing disagreements could not be resolved. Henley, Frey and Felder began solo careers with contrasting results, while Walsh resumed the path he had followed prior to joining the band.

The Eagles Concert DatesThe final lineup of the band eventually re-formed in the mid-'90s, after months of speculation. The resulting album, Hell Freezes Over, proved they were still one of the world's most popular acts, even though it was a hastily assembled live collection. Their 1994-1995 tour of the U.S. was (apart from the Rolling Stones parallel tour) the largest-grossing on record. Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 is the biggest-selling album of all time, with 28 million units sold in the U.S. alone.

The Eagles' influence on mainstream country music was magnified when country musicians paid tribute to the band with the 1993 album Common Thread: The Songs of the Eagles. Travis Tritt convinced the members from the 1980 lineup to join him in the video for "Take it Easy." Others appearing on the tribute album include Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Clint Black and Trisha Yearwood.

The Eagles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. A 4-CD box set, Selected Works 1972-1999, was issued in 2000. Felder left the band in February 2001 and filed suit against his former cohorts for wrongful termination. Felder's replacement on the road was Steuart Smith, a guitarist who had worked extensively with Rosanne Cash and Rodney Crowell. A 2-disc retrospective, The Very Best of the Eagles, was released in 2003.
